A deep gold, burnished brass colour on the eye. On the nose, it hits you first with a wallop of classic sherry wood, followed by juicy raisin, dates and subtle hints of embers from a long forgotten fire. Tasting throws up for the palate bold sherry notes, orange zest and star anise. Adding water releases a woody smoke, vanilla and toasted nuts. The finish offers a unique mildly bitter finish with a bubble gum aftertaste, along with moist raisins and orange peel.
