Spirit of Hven Organic Single Malt 7 Stars No 3 Phecda, 50 cl

£95.37 (as of August 17, 2018, 7:59 am)

The whisky has a clear note of leather and salty liquorice, behind the first peppery note lingers a lovely scent of barbecue and open fireplace.
When the scent buds have tuned in, on the high strength the nose is filled with dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The scent is held together by sweetness reminiscent of old port wine.
Thoughts go to a picnic on a wet summer meadow eating a dark bread roll with hazelnut cream.

Description

“50cl / 45.0% – The third release from Spirits of Hven’s Seven Stars range is the Phecda single malt whisky, which has been matured in a combination of American and French oak casks, then bottled without chill-filtration or additional colours. A cracking organic single malt from the fantastic Hven distillery on the tiny Swedish island from which the distillery gets its name. Following on from Dubhe and Merak (the previous expressions in the Seven Stars series), the Phecda has been named after a shining star in the Ursa Major (or The Plough) constellation.”
