Balblair 1998 / 23 Year Old / Connoisseurs Choice Highland Whisky

70cl / 50.5% / Gordon & MacPhail – A 1998 Balblair single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail that was matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel for 23 years, before being bottled in October 2021 as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series. Aromas of lime zest, marzipan and red apple fill the nose, complemented by notes of honeycomb, banana, peach, charred oak and orange zest throughout the palate.
